I like Vietnam . Not sure what makes me like this country more than for example Laos. There is just something with the chaos, the running traffic which is not even an organized chaos-just chaos. It kind of makes me feel like home again, Its like the traffic in India (and Malta)
The people here is very interesting and also so different depending on which place you get to. In the city i found most of them very nice , i think they are just used to tourists.. When i got here to Sa Pa which is a hillstation in the mountains - Its like coming to Nepal all over again. They all want you to buy something of them and "please look My shop" kind of thing. The place for north fake and trekking. (no we didnt trekk we just stroll)
Food in Vietnam can be quite interesting, maybe not too much to eat if your a veggie - but ive survived so far. Although i had the (the one) worst dish in my life so far, not just on the trip-ever. We found a nice looking place in an alleyway in Hanoi and my two friends did good with their food - but not me. Some veggies, noodles and peanut on the top-cant be too bad? Unless you put some puke-tasting sauce in the middle! Seriously it tasted like throw-up and it made me think again, i know i did not throw up today (i wasnt that drunk yday) and i lost my appetite for the rest of the day.. The waiter just looked at me with a wierd face when i told him the food tasted like puke
